Ingredients

  • 1 piece flatbread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup fresh spinach torn
  • 1/2 cup red onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic sliced
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil for drizzling

Equipment

  • Pizza stone or baking sheet
  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F with pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
  2. Spread mozzarella cheese evenly over flatbread surface. Sprinkle with garlic powder and black pepper.
  3. Evenly distribute fresh spinach leaves, sliced red onions, and sliced garlic over the mozzarella.
  4. Top with crumbled feta cheese, distributing evenly.
  5. Place assembled flatbread on preheated stone and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts and edges are golden-crispy with slightly charred spots.
  6. Remove from oven, drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt. Let cool 2-3 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For crispier crust, pre-bake flatbread for 3-4 minutes before adding toppings. Don't overload with toppings to prevent soggy texture. Store leftovers in refrigerator up to 3 days.
