- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, beat the whole egg and egg yolk together. Add the milk, sugar, and vegetable oil. Mix well until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Don't overmix.
- Fold in the chopped pepperoni, shredded cheese, oregano (or Italian seasoning), and garlic (if using). Mix until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. If desired, melt the butter and brush it on top for extra flavor and golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
